Virgin Media is rolling out a major upgrade on its TV platform, offering customers three new bonus channels at no extra cost. Rakuten’s update introduces three FAST channels this month, enhancing the entertainment options available to viewers.
The newly added channels include Rakuten TV Drama on Ch462, featuring popular movies like The Big Short, Gosford Park, and JFK. Additionally, viewers can enjoy Rakuten TV Comedy on Ch463, showcasing films such as Big Momma’s House, The Internship, and Bedazzled. For sci-fi enthusiasts, Rakuten TV: Sci Fi on Ch464 will provide a range of content from otherworldly realms.
The enhancement will automatically be integrated into Virgin TV 360 and Flex, requiring no action from customers. These channels can be easily accessed through Virgin Media’s TV guide and are searchable via voice control for convenience.
David Bouchier, Chief TV and Entertainment Officer at Virgin Media O2, emphasized the value and quality of the new streaming channels, offering a diverse range of entertainment options, including Hollywood blockbusters, at no additional cost. With this addition, Virgin TV customers now have access to a total of 40 FAST channels, expanding their viewing choices.
While a subscription fee is necessary for Virgin Media TV access, the channel lineup now surpasses what is available through free services. This upgrade aims to provide customers with a comprehensive entertainment experience, consolidating all Rakuten TV offerings in one accessible platform.
