As the holiday season approaches, many Brits find themselves scrambling to put together the perfect outfit for Christmas parties. A recent study by Primark uncovered that 74% of individuals struggle to find the right attire at the last minute, with 42% experiencing fashion mishaps.
According to the research, two-thirds of people have spent up to £50 replacing forgotten items, while 35% have been let down by late online deliveries. The survey also revealed that 31% of respondents worry most about selecting the ideal outfit before a party, with Londoners showing even higher concern at 44%.
The busiest partygoers fall within the 25 to 34 age group, with plans to attend five or more events during the festive period. To assist those facing last-minute wardrobe crises, Primark has introduced Slay-TMs in London, Birmingham, and Manchester. These rescue stations offer free essential party items to alleviate the stress of unexpected fashion emergencies.
The Slay-TMs are stocked with a variety of fashion and beauty essentials, including tights, accessories, makeup, and aftershave. In cases where specific items are unavailable, shoppers will receive £10 Primark vouchers with their purchases, redeemable at nearby stores.
Mary Lucas, Trading Director for Womenswear at Primark, emphasized the importance of enjoying the holiday season without the added pressure of outfit dilemmas. She noted that many younger party attendees feel more pressure to look good for office gatherings than for dates. In response to the need for convenient solutions, Primark is launching Santa’s Slay-TMs nationwide.
These festive rescue stations will be operational from December 3 to 5 between 10 am and 5 pm.
