A former British school actor recently caught by counter-terrorism police at Stansted Airport is the latest individual linked to a disturbing neo-Nazi group involved in criminal activities in the UK and worldwide. Declan George Candiani, 26, was apprehended last August while trying to travel to Finland with his girlfriend. Subsequent investigations at his residence in Streatham, London uncovered a significant amount of extremist material on his electronic devices, including content associated with the extremist and satanist organization, Order of Nine Angles (O9A).
The O9A, which originated in the 1970s as a small sect, has evolved into a global network espousing neo-Nazi ideologies intertwined with occult and satanic themes. Members of this group idolize infamous serial killers like Ian Brady for their violent tendencies. Followers of O9A believe in the eradication of concepts such as racial equality, human rights, and democracy, viewing them as hindrances to the dominance of the Aryan race and advocating for their destruction through ritualistic acts and disruptive behaviors.
Candiani, immersed in neo-Nazi and occult extremism, got involved in activities like tattooing himself with symbols related to Adolf Hitler, studying mass shooting materials, and obtaining instructions for crafting firearms. Among the incriminating evidence found on his devices was a guide detailing techniques for close-contact assassinations using weapons like knives and nunchucks.
During police interrogation, Candiani confessed to his interest in the Order of Nine Angles, claiming to have made a pact with a demonic entity that he referred to as a “red-horned devil.” Subsequently, he was convicted in October on two charges related to collecting terrorism-related information and received a prison sentence along with a period of supervised release for each offense, to be served concurrently.
Other individuals with ties to the O9A include Vincent Charlton, who was imprisoned for terrorism offenses involving exploitation of a minor, and Richard Densmore, sentenced for sexually abusing a child in the US. Additionally, Alan Filion faced legal consequences for making threatening calls and hoax bomb threats, while Brandon Alonso carried out a violent attack in Mexico after professing allegiance to the Order of Nine Angles on social media.
The cases of these individuals underscore the dangerous influence and criminal activities associated with the Order of Nine Angles and its affiliates.
