Woman in Her Twenties Raped in London Park

Authorities have cordoned off a section of a renowned London park following a reported rape of a woman in her twenties.

The Metropolitan Police responded to the incident at Embankment Gardens in Westminster during the early hours of the day.

A spokesperson from the police stated: “At approximately 4:10 am on Tuesday, December 2, officers were dispatched to Embankment Gardens after receiving information about a sexual assault.

“Law enforcement arrived at the scene and engaged with the victim, a female in her twenties. She is currently receiving support from specialized officers. No individuals have been apprehended at this point, and authorities are conducting urgent investigations.”

Embankment Gardens is situated near Embankment Tube Station, adjacent to the River Thames. The park, established in the late 1800s, features several historic statues, including tributes to John Stuart Mill and Robert Burns.
