A young woman’s Christmas experience was impacted after losing 4st due to Mounjaro injections, leading her to only consume a can of Coke during the festive season. Frankie Stone, 23, previously weighed 21 stone and wore a size 22, deciding to try weight loss injections in December to improve her self-image.
Despite her weight loss success of shedding four stone, now weighing 16 stone and fitting into a size 16, Frankie found it challenging to enjoy Christmas on the injections. She expressed disappointment as she struggled to eat at her Christmas dinner and only craved a can of Coke, missing out on the festive food her mum prepared.
Frankie, residing in Bristol, emphasized how the injections affected her holiday celebrations, stating, “It 100% affected my experience. Everything during Christmas revolves around food, but I couldn’t enjoy it like before.” She further added, “It was quite disappointing because Christmas is all about food, especially as an adult. It definitely put a damper on Christmas.”
Having polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which made natural weight loss difficult, Frankie struggled with her weight loss journey before turning to Mounjaro injections. During her initial use of the injections in December 2024, she experienced positive weight loss results but did not foresee the impact on her Christmas festivities.
On Christmas Day, while dining out with relatives, Frankie struggled to finish her meal, leading her to pause the injections during a Turkey holiday in September 2025 to enjoy the local cuisine. However, stopping the injections resulted in adverse effects like anxiety and sleep disturbances.
Despite facing challenges during the holiday season, Frankie, who recently launched her cleaning business Sparkle by F&P, remains positive about her weight loss journey. She shared, “Before the injections, I was frustrated and had gained extra weight due to PCOS. Mounjaro helped block out food cravings, aiding my weight loss journey with a loss of four stone.”
Although experiencing some side effects like headaches, dizziness, and anxiety, Frankie continues with the injections to maintain her weight loss progress. She advises others considering a break from the injections to restore their appetite before Christmas to plan ahead as it took her a month to regain her appetite after a previous pause.
