Police Seek Man in CCTV Footage after Teen Harassment

Police have made public CCTV footage following an incident where a 16-year-old girl was reportedly harassed by a man in a Sainsbury’s store. The teenager was shopping in Kimberley, Nottingham, on Sunday, November 9, when an unidentified man allegedly stared at her. Upon leaving the supermarket, the man is said to have approached her outside the Card Factory. He proceeded to compliment her and inquire about her residence before mentioning a property he owned. The situation escalated when a store employee intervened, causing the man to flee, according to police reports.

Nottinghamshire Police have shared an image of a man they wish to speak with regarding the alleged occurrence, which occurred around 3 pm. PC Olivia Pettitt, leading the investigation, condemned the behavior, stating it had left the girl feeling scared and intimidated. The police have pursued various leads since the incident was reported on November 9.

“We treat all reports of harassment and intimidation with the utmost seriousness. We have pursued several avenues of investigation since receiving the report,” PC Olivia Pettitt commented. The police are seeking assistance from the public and have released an image of a man to aid in their inquiries. Individuals who recognize the man in the image are urged to come forward promptly.
