“Wetherspoons’ Spanish Pub Prices Higher Than UK Outlets”

Punters who visit Wetherspoons’ newly opened pub in Spain may find themselves paying higher prices compared to their home country. Although many menu items and beverages remain reasonably priced, they tend to be more expensive than at the chain’s regular outlets on the high street.

According to company executives, the higher costs are attributed to the operation of pubs in airport locations. They highlight that the pricing at the Spanish pub is similar to what is offered at their establishments in airports and railway stations across the UK.

For instance, a substantial breakfast in Spain costs 10.25 euros (£8.84), while the average cost in the UK is only £5.09.

To assess the price differences, the Mirror conducted a comparison of prices at the Alicante pub with those at Wetherspoons’ Solihull pub in the West Midlands and at Gatwick Airport. It is worth noting that some products may vary in terms of size and ingredients.

Some examples include:
– Margherita pizza
– All-day brunch
– Classic burger
– Chicken, eggs, and beans
– Pint of Stella Artois
– Asahi beer
– Pint of Greene King Abbot Ale
– Guinness 0.0
– Coca-Cola/Pepsi (398ml)
