A village in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region was struck by a Russian missile attack on Tuesday, leading to the death of 10 individuals, as per Ukrainian authorities. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the attack, highlighting the destruction caused to buildings and vehicles. The assault also left 17 people injured, according to the region’s governor, Oleh Syniehubov.
The strike resulted in significant damage to private properties, a café, a post office, a store, and several vehicles in the village. Initial reports from Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office suggested that Russia employed two Banderol cruise missiles in the attack.
Simultaneously, Ukraine launched a large-scale drone offensive on Moscow and its surroundings, deploying 620 drones in one of Kyiv’s major air assaults. Russian forces reportedly downed 180 drones over the Moscow region, with some causing damage to facilities like the Wildberries warehouse. The attacks also extended to other Russian-controlled regions, including Crimea, leading to power supply disruptions in several areas.
In response, Russia warned Britain about potential repercussions for allegedly supplying drones to Ukraine for attacks on Russian territory. The Russian embassy in London issued a statement emphasizing consequences for Britain’s involvement in supporting Ukraine against Russia. Britain’s Defence Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to assisting Ukraine in defending itself against the ongoing conflict with Russia, mentioning a previous pledge to provide drones as part of a funding package.
