Tesco is set to raise the price of its meal deal starting this Thursday. Clubcard members will see the cost of the popular lunchtime combo go up from £3.60 to £3.85, while non-members will have to pay £4.25 instead of the previous £4.
The current favorite items in the supermarket meal deal include the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich, Tesco Egg Protein Pot, and a 500ml Coca-Cola drink, which individually would total £6.50 but are available for £3.85 to Clubcard holders. The premium meal deal will now cost £5.50 with a Clubcard and £6 without.
This price increase marks the third adjustment for Clubcard members and the fourth for non-members. Tesco introduced the first hike in February, followed by subsequent increases in October and August 2024. New products, such as the Finest Salmon Konbini Roll and Finest Gochujang Konbini Roll, will be added to the premium meal deal soon.
According to a Tesco spokesperson, the meal deal remains a great value for customers, offering a variety of options to suit different tastes. Additionally, Tesco is running a promotion where Clubcard members have a chance to win a new Vauxhall Frontera Electric car by scanning a QR code on selected receipts or visiting the competition webpage before August 31.
The prize car, a Frontera Electric GS 44kWh 113PS with the Ultimate Pack and Canyon Orange metallic paint, is valued at £25,995 OTR.
