“Conor McGregor’s Appeal Denied in Sexual Assault Case”

Conor McGregor’s appeal against a High Court jury’s decision that he sexually assaulted Nikita Hand has been unsuccessful. Hand, 35, brought a civil case against the former UFC champion, accusing him of raping and assaulting her in a penthouse at the Beacon Hotel. McGregor claimed in court that the encounter was consensual.

The jury found McGregor liable for assault after deliberating for over six hours. Hand was awarded £206,000 in damages, with McGregor ordered to pay £85,000. Hand’s separate case against James Lawrence for alleged assault at the same hotel was unsuccessful.

McGregor sought to introduce new evidence in his appeal but later withdrew the request. The Court of Appeal rejected his appeal, upholding the jury’s decision. Hand expressed gratitude to her supporters and emphasized the importance of speaking out for survivors of assault.

In other news, US President Donald Trump announced plans for a UFC event at the White House in July 2026. McGregor expressed enthusiasm for the event, saying he would be honored to participate. UFC President Dana White also showed support for the idea, hinting at McGregor’s potential involvement. McGregor, who has not fought since 2021, hinted at a possible comeback during a recent event.
