A mother of three, Sammi Hill, who attributes her transformation to Mounjaro, is distressed by the sudden £80 per month increase in the cost of the injections. Sammi, 33, from Mapperley, Nottingham, struggled with weight gain after having her daughters and reached 18st 3lbs. Despite trying various diets, she faced challenges in losing weight and battled with mental health issues.
In July 2024, as a final resort, she turned to Mounjaro and managed to shed an impressive 4st by August with the help of the £150 per month 7.5mg injections. However, the recent price hike to £230 per month has made it unaffordable for her, leaving her with 4st to lose to reach her goal weight.
Expressing her disappointment, Sammi mentioned, “I planned to continue, but the increased cost is beyond my means now. I have decided to focus on natural methods and have signed up for a gym membership.” Despite the setback, she remains grateful for the progress she has made with Mounjaro and believes she can continue her weight loss journey independently.
