All major Internet Service Providers (ISPs) in the UK recently announced price increases set to take effect from April. Sky, a leading service provider, raised monthly bills by approximately 6%. Now, Sky has revealed an additional price hike specifically impacting users of its NOW platform, who will face a £3 per bill increase starting July 4, 2025.
Customers subscribed to plans like Brilliant Broadband, Fab Fibre, and Super Fibre will be affected by this change. A spokesperson for NOW acknowledged that while price hikes are unwelcome, they are necessary to support service improvements and investments. NOW will be notifying customers at least 31 days in advance of the changes, allowing them the option to exit their contracts without penalties within the same period.
NOW attributes the price adjustments to investments made to enhance their services and the ongoing cost pressures they encounter, including wholesale costs and service enhancements. Regardless of your current ISP, exploring different providers for better deals is recommended. Beyond well-known providers like BT, Virgin, and Sky, there are emerging smaller networks in the UK offering competitive speeds at attractive prices.
