The latest results for Premium Bonds in July 2025 have revealed two lucky individuals in the UK who are now £1 million richer. The first winner, residing in Norwich, holds the maximum amount of £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 224LR913240 purchased in June 2014. The second winner from Nottingham has £49,100 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 83EP714276 bought almost 30 years ago in October 1997.

The prize range for Premium Bonds starts at £25 and goes up to £1 million, with each £1 invested equating to a unique bond number. The maximum amount that can be saved in Premium Bonds is £50,000. NS&I Retail Director, Andrew Westhead, congratulated the two jackpot winners and highlighted that over 5.9 million prizes worth more than £417 million have been awarded in the latest draw.
While the odds of winning are 22,000 to 1 for each £1 bond, the prize fund rate is currently 3.80%. However, starting from the August 2025 draw, the prize fund rate will be reduced to 3.60%. Despite the adjustment, there will still be two £1 million prizes given out, along with a larger number of smaller prizes.
Andrew Westhead emphasized the enduring appeal of Premium Bonds, offering security backed by HM Treasury, flexibility in withdrawals, and the excitement of potential tax-free prizes. The upcoming August draw is expected to yield over 6 million tax-free prizes totaling more than £396 million.
To check if you are a winner, use the NS&I online prize checker or the Premium Bonds prize checker app. Winners can opt to have the money transferred to their bank account or reinvested into new Premium Bonds. NS&I will notify winners via email or text message. Premium Bonds are held by approximately 22.7 million individuals.
