Apple has introduced the new MacBook Neo, a visually appealing laptop that offers a more budget-friendly option for consumers. Priced at £599, the Neo is significantly cheaper than the latest M5-powered MacBook Air, making it an attractive choice for those looking for a premium laptop at a lower cost.
Despite its affordable price tag, the MacBook Neo boasts premium features such as a sleek aluminium design, a vibrant 13-inch Liquid Retina display, a long-lasting 16-hour battery life, and a comfortable keyboard ideal for daily use. Buyers can select from four lively colors: Silver, Citrus, Indigo, and Blush.
To maintain affordability, Apple equipped the Neo with the A18 Pro chip, typically found in the company’s smartphones. This configuration allows the laptop to handle everyday tasks like web browsing, video editing, photo retouching, and streaming content smoothly.
Sky is offering a deal that further reduces the upfront cost of the MacBook Neo, providing it on a contract basis for £12.50 per month, along with a complimentary SIM card offering 100MB of data. The deal requires a 48-month contract and a £24 initial payment, bringing the total cost to £624 over the contract term, slightly more than the outright purchase price.
The £12.50 monthly rate applies to the 256GB model, which does not include a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. For the 512GB version with Touch ID, the monthly cost is £15.
In addition to Sky, the MacBook Neo is available at other major retailers like Argos, Currys, and Amazon.
