Police have provided a tragic update in the search for a 28-year-old man who went missing recently. Rehaan, hailing from Llanelli in South Wales, disappeared while out with friends in Bristol. Following his reported disappearance on Sunday, an extensive search effort was initiated.
Regrettably, authorities have confirmed the discovery of a body in a harbor. While formal identification is pending, Rehaan’s family has been notified of the development. He was last sighted near the Arnolfini around 1:05 am on Sunday. Subsequently, underwater search teams were observed scouring Bristol’s harborside close to the Cottage Pub on Monday.
A representative from Avon and Somerset Police expressed sorrow, stating, “We are saddened to report the recovery of a body from the water during the search for Rehaan, the missing 28-year-old. Although formal identification is pending, we have updated his family and are providing them with support through a dedicated family liaison officer.
During this challenging period, our thoughts are with the family. The circumstances surrounding this death are currently classified as unexplained yet non-suspicious, with preparations underway for the coroner’s investigation. We extend our gratitude to the public for their assistance in spreading awareness of our appeal.”
