“Dubois’ Instructive Edge Over Fury for Usyk Clash”

Lennox Lewis is of the opinion that Daniel Dubois stands a better chance of defeating Oleksandr Usyk compared to Tyson Fury because of his ability to adhere to instructions.

Dubois will make a bid to secure the undisputed heavyweight championship title at Wembley this Saturday in a rematch against Usyk.

Although Dubois suffered a defeat to Usyk in 2023, where he was dropped and stopped in the ninth round following a controversial low blow, he has since made a comeback with impressive victories over notable opponents such as Jarrell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, and Anthony Joshua.

With a potential opportunity to become the first British boxer to hold all four heavyweight belts since Lewis in 1999, Dubois is aiming to make history in the division.

In assessing Dubois’ chances, Lewis highlighted Dubois’ ability to follow instructions effectively compared to Fury, who Lewis believes did not put in enough effort in his recent fight.

Despite Usyk being the favorite in the upcoming fight at Wembley, Lewis believes Dubois has the capability to dominate the unified champion.

The highly-anticipated clash between Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois to determine the undisputed heavyweight champion is set for Saturday, July 19.

Fans can watch the fight on DAZN PPV for £24.99 or access it for free with a DAZN Annual plan.

Lewis emphasized the importance of Dubois utilizing his natural heavyweight advantage, particularly in the early rounds, to put pressure on Usyk and control the pace of the fight.

In Lewis’s view, Dubois needs to be proactive, win rounds consistently, and avoid allowing Usyk to dictate the fight as he did in their previous encounter.

Strategic round-by-round dominance and potentially securing a knockout were highlighted by Lewis as key elements for Dubois to secure victory in the anticipated showdown.
