An elderly woman, aged 89, tragically passed away following a collision with a council recycling lorry in Llandudno, Wales. The driver of the lorry has been detained on suspicion of causing death due to dangerous driving. The incident occurred on Brookes Street near Caroline Road around 9 am on Monday. Despite swift emergency response, including an air ambulance, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Sergeant Duncan Logan of the North Wales Police expressed condolences to the woman’s family, stating that they are receiving support during this challenging period. An arrest has been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
