A man in his thirties has tragically passed away following a collision with a car on a London street during daylight hours. The unfortunate incident occurred in Willesden, London, at 12:44 pm on December 3. The victim, identified as Ruben Nunes, aged 34, received medical attention from paramedics but was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
In response to the accident, a 29-year-old male has been taken into custody on suspicion of murder. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that the individual remains detained for further investigation.
Detective Chief Superintendent Luke Williams expressed his condolences, stating, “This is a distressing event which we recognize will be concerning for the local community. Our hearts go out to Ruben’s loved ones during this challenging period.”
Williams also announced an escalation in police presence in the vicinity as authorities conduct inquiries. He encouraged residents to approach officers with any worries or queries. Additionally, he emphasized the importance of sharing any information or footage related to the incident using the Met Engage platform or contacting the police directly.
