“Free Pints for All: Camden Town Brewery Partners with Rugby Club for Epic Community Experience”

Camden Town Brewery has made a generous offer to purchase what could potentially be the largest round in the UK, ensuring a complimentary beer for all 78,000 inhabitants of a town in the UK. Teaming up with the renowned Rugby Football Club in Warwickshire, the brewery aims to create an unforgettable experience for the entire community.

Residents simply need to attend Rugby’s match against Oundle II on October 4 to claim their free pint of Camden’s signature beers. With the reported average price of a Camden Hells lager in mid-2025 at £6.34, the total cost of providing a pint to the estimated 49,000 adult residents of Rugby could reach a remarkable £317,000.

Rugby FC, known for being one of only three teams globally allowed to play in full white, alongside the national team, is credited with inventing the sport in 1823. As part of their Give Em Hells initiative, Camden Town Brewery is sponsoring the historic club in collaboration with sports equipment company Gilbert, focusing on bolstering grassroots clubs.

Following this partnership, the brewery plans to refurbish old turnstiles and supply new equipment to the club, which has faced financial challenges over the past decade. George Fitzroy, the Head of Marketing at Camden Town Brewery, emphasized the importance of supporting rugby clubs across the UK through the Give ‘Em Hells scheme, aiming to strengthen community ties through a shared passion for rugby and beer.

In addition to the sponsorship, Camden Town Brewery has engaged turf artist John Ledwidge and his team to create a visually striking statement on the pitch, symbolizing the partnership. Mal Malik, the Chairman of Rugby Football Club, expressed gratitude for the support, acknowledging the positive impact the sponsorship will have on the club and the local community.

Established in 2010 under the railway arches in Camden, Camden Town Brewery offers a range of five beers available in supermarkets and around 3,000 pubs, bars, and independent retailers.
