Gabby Logan ‘absolutely thrilled’ as she secures top job alongside Jamie Carragher
TV icon Gabby Logan has bagged herself a top job. The veteran broadcaster will be the official host of the 2025 Women’s Football Awards.
The prestigious ceremony, which is Europe’s largest awards celebration for women’s football, will take place this May and will honour all aspects of the game – from grassroots talent to the superstar players on the pitch.
Gabby Logan, a prominent figure in sports broadcasting, will bring her unique energy and expertise to the event. She’ll be joined by fellow presenters including football icon Jamie Carragher and former Lioness Eni Aluko, who will share their insights on the growth and impact of women’s football.
“I am absolutely thrilled to be hosting the 2025 Women’s Football Awards in May,” Gabby said. With the rise of the women’s game across Europe, this year’s awards will celebrate the achievements that have propelled the sport to new heights, inspiring future generations.
Past winners of the Women’s Football Awards include notable players such as Alessia Russo, who was instrumental in England’s 2022 Euro victory; Keira Walsh, a midfield dynamo for both Barcelona and England; Lauren James, renowned for her thrilling flair and skill; and Missy Bo Kearns, an emerging talent in the Women’s Super League. Premier League legends like Declan Rice, Harry Kane, and Tyrone Mings have also backed the awards, contributing to the elevation of women’s football and its ongoing expansion.

The eagerly awaited shortlist for the 2025 Women’s Football Awards will be unveiled on 11 March 2025.
