“Hatton’s Son Retires from Boxing, Enters Solar Industry”

Ricky Hatton’s son, Campbell, has decided to retire from boxing at the age of 24 in order to pursue a career in the solar panel industry. Campbell had a successful start to his professional boxing career, winning his first 14 fights, but faced setbacks with consecutive losses to James Flint. Ricky Hatton, a former world champion, confirmed that Campbell will not be returning to the boxing ring.

Hatton explained that Campbell lacked amateur experience before turning professional. Despite some close fights, Campbell experienced a decline in performance, partly due to personal tragedies, including the loss of a close friend. Ricky advised his son to step away from boxing if his passion waned, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being.

Campbell made his paid debut in 2021 and appeared on notable undercards, such as Anthony Joshua’s fight against Oleksandr Usyk. Meanwhile, Ricky Hatton, at 47 years old, announced a surprising comeback after 13 years of retirement. He is scheduled to face Dubai’s first-ever professional boxer, Eisa Al Dah, on December 2nd.

Expressing his excitement about returning to the ring, Ricky emphasized that this fight is a sensible choice at his age and skill level. He acknowledged that he is no longer at the peak of his career but highlighted the importance of setting goals and maintaining mental focus. Ricky drew parallels to other veteran boxers like Mike Tyson and Manny Pacquiao who continue to compete despite their age.

Looking ahead to his upcoming fight, Ricky expressed eagerness to train hard and put on a show for his fans. He reassured people about his physical and mental readiness for the bout, emphasizing his lifelong dedication to the sport.
