Jeff Brazier has made a return to social media today after learning that his youngest son, Freddy, is soon to become a father at the age of 20. Freddy is expecting a baby with an ex-girlfriend, making this the first grandchild for the late Jade Goody and Jeff’s first grandparent experience at 47.
Despite a recent family dispute, Jeff has shown his full support for Freddy upon hearing the news about the impending arrival. Taking to Instagram, Jeff shared a photo of himself smiling alongside a friend, accompanied by the song ‘Life Will Be’ by Cleo Sol, featuring empowering lyrics.
Friends close to the family revealed that Jeff was initially taken aback by Freddy’s announcement but has since been actively supporting his son during this significant time. The news has reportedly brought Jeff and Freddy closer together, following a period of strain in their relationship.
Earlier this year, Freddy had been living with his maternal grandmother amidst legal disputes, claiming that she had introduced him to drugs at a young age. However, his grandmother denied these allegations, attributing Freddy’s troubles to external influences.
Freddy recently opened up about his struggles, including being sectioned and undergoing rehab for manic episodes, as shared on his podcast. Both Jeff and Freddy have been candid about their challenges, as seen during their on-screen disagreements while participating in Race Across The World.
As a single parent since the passing of Jade Goody in 2009, Jeff has raised both sons, Bobby and Freddy. Bobby has pursued a career in modeling and acting, making appearances in EastEnders and having a successful stint on Strictly Come Dancing.
The family continues to navigate their way through the showbiz world, with Jeff providing guidance and support to his sons as they follow their aspirations.
