La Voix from Strictly Come Dancing will be absent from the upcoming Blackpool special this weekend due to an injury. La Voix, also known as Christopher Dennis, advanced to the next week’s show with dance partner Aljaz Skorjanec following a performance of Couple’s Choice to Barbara Streisand’s Don’t Rain On My Parade.
Although La Voix was scheduled to participate in the highly awaited Blackpool special, the show confirmed that she will not be able to compete due to her injury. A spokesperson for Strictly Come Dancing stated that La Voix has been advised by doctors to rest and will not be dancing in the Blackpool specials. Per the show’s rules, La Voix and Aljaž will receive a pass to the following week, hoping for their return. Best wishes for a speedy recovery were extended to La Voix.
Expressing immense sadness, La Voix shared that they are withdrawing from the weekend’s shows due to their injury, expressing disappointment at missing the chance to perform at such an iconic venue. Despite their hard work and excitement to showcase their routine, their focus has now shifted to recovery.
La Voix mentioned that they will be supporting all the couples performing in Blackpool this weekend while highlighting their previous performance that landed them in the top half of the leaderboard with a score of 33. Trailing behind the current leaderboard-topper Amber Davies, they are aiming to make a strong comeback once they are able to dance again.
In the latest results show, Vicky Pattison bid farewell to the competition after landing in the bottom two with Balvinder Sopal from EastEnders. The judges unanimously chose to save Balvinder following a dance-off. Vicky expressed gratitude for the experience, acknowledging the challenges of the week and praising her partner Kai for their journey together.
This weekend’s specials will feature the return of four ex-stars – Ashley Roberts, Danny Mac, Jay McGuiness, and Layton Williams – who will join forces with professional dancers for a special routine commemorating their most iconic dances.
