Morrisons Recalls ‘Savers Salad Cream’ Over Allergy Risk

Morrisons has issued an important warning regarding one of its products, citing potential health risks to certain individuals. Customers are urged to return affected batches of the supermarket’s own-brand ‘Savers Salad Cream’ with batch codes ‘L25 122’ to their nearest stores for a full refund.

The recall is due to concerns that the product may contain egg and mustard, ingredients not listed on the label. The affected product has a Best Before End date of AUG/2026 and Batch L25 122, posing a health risk to individuals allergic to egg or mustard.

According to a statement from Morrisons, only the ‘Savers Salad Cream’ with the specific batch code is affected, and customers are assured of the company’s commitment to upholding product quality and safety standards.

Further details from the Food Standards Agency (FSA) indicate that the recalled Savers Salad Cream bottles are 420g in size, with best-before dates of August 2026. The FSA explains that food products may be withdrawn or recalled if there are concerns about incorrect labeling or potential allergen risks.

For customers who have purchased the affected product, Morrisons advises against consuming it and encourages returning it to any Morrisons store for a full refund, without the need for a receipt. For inquiries, customers can contact Morrisons Customer Services at 0345 611 6111.

In a separate incident, M&S is recalling a specific batch of ‘Milk Chocolate Honeycomb’ due to potential peanut contamination not disclosed on the label. Customers with peanut allergies are advised to avoid the affected packs weighing 120g, displaying lot number ‘5242’ and best-before dates of May 12, 2026. The company emphasizes customer safety and urges returns to M&S stores for refunds.

The FSA notice highlights that M&S has initiated the recall process and is coordinating with allergy support organizations to inform their members about the issue. Customers are encouraged to visit the FSA’s website for additional information on food alerts and allergy alerts.
