A murder probe has been initiated following the discovery of a missing man’s body in Huddersfield. The deceased, identified as Andrew Bray, aged 40, was found at the former brewery premises on Willow Lane on Wednesday evening. West Yorkshire Police suspects that Mr. Bray was subjected to an assault prior to his disappearance.
A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the exact cause of death, as reported by Yorkshire Live. The family of Mr. Bray has been notified of the distressing development, according to the police.
DCI Michael Cox from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team stated that active investigations are currently underway into the circumstances surrounding Andrew’s demise. While awaiting the formal post-mortem results, it is believed that he was assaulted before his body was discovered. The incident is being treated as a murder investigation following on-site inquiries. DCI Cox urged potential witnesses, especially those who observed any suspicious activities in or around the former brewery site over the past weekend, to come forward with information.
Reassuring the local community, DCI Cox emphasized that thorough investigations are being conducted into the tragic event, and neighborhood policing officers are actively patrolling the area to provide reassurance to residents.
