“New Look Launches Club New Look Loyalty Program”

New Look has introduced its inaugural loyalty program offering exclusive discounts to members.

Club New Look is a complimentary membership with benefits such as weekly “Club Prices” on selected items, early access to sales and promotions, and participation in exclusive member competitions.

Upon signing up, members receive a 25% welcome discount. The fashion retailer aims to provide a more personalized shopping experience for its 10 million known customers.

CEO Helen Connolly expressed, “At New Look, we are continuously seeking ways to acknowledge and reward our customers. Club New Look is our fresh loyalty initiative, tailored to provide unique, value-added perks that make our members feel acknowledged, valued, and motivated.”

“After a successful soft launch with 500,000 customers joining our club, our goal is to reach 800,000 members by the end of the fiscal year,” Connolly added. “We are thrilled to expand this nationally as part of our strategy to create a more digitally enhanced, personalized, and rewarding shopping journey.”

In related news, New Look shut down numerous stores this year, including 26 in the Republic of Ireland as part of its exit from the nation entirely.

Reports from The Times earlier this year indicated New Look’s intention to “speed up future store closures” upon lease expiration, partly due to increased costs from rising minimum wage and National Insurance rates for employers.

Although New Look did not confirm this report, it does state on its website that it operates 338 stores in the UK.

In other retail developments, US-based fashion brand Anthropologie announced plans to launch three new stores in the UK. The retailer, which opened its flagship UK store on London’s Regent Street in 2009, now plans to expand its presence on the high street.

New store openings are scheduled for Liverpool on November 5, Glasgow on November 12, and Manchester on November 26.

Gap also disclosed its comeback to the UK high street with three new standalone stores. Having first entered the UK market in 1987 and closed its last UK store in September 2021, the US clothing brand is set to open a flagship store in Covent Garden on November 6, followed by branches in Westfield London on December 4 and Wembley Park London Designer Outlet on December 12.

Furthermore, Gap currently operates four shop-in-shop concepts within Next stores and more than 40 concessions in Next stores across England and Ireland.
