“Newcastle United Signs German Talent Nick Woltemade for £65M”

Newcastle United has officially announced the acquisition of Nick Woltemade from VfB Stuttgart. The German national, who showcased his talent at the Under-21 Euros earlier this summer, joins the club in a deal valued at approximately £65 million.

The signing of Woltemade may signal the departure of Alexander Isak from Newcastle. Despite Liverpool facing rejection on a bid for the Swedish player earlier in the transfer window, they are expected to make a renewed offer before the window closes.

Expressing his excitement, Woltemade stated, “I am thrilled to be part of this fantastic club. Right from initial discussions, I could sense the club’s genuine interest in me and their ambitious plans for my future.”

Manager Eddie Howe praised the new addition, highlighting Woltemade’s attributes and potential for growth within the team. Woltemade, 23, had an impressive season with Stuttgart, scoring 12 Bundesliga goals and a total of 17 across all competitions, contributing to their qualification for European competition.

Woltemade becomes the fifth senior signing for Newcastle this season, joining the likes of Anthony Elanga, Malick Thiaw, and Jacob Ramsey. Additionally, Aaron Ramsdale has arrived on a season-long loan from Southampton.

Newcastle has also engaged in player sales, including Sean Longstaff and Lloyd Kelly. Newcastle is set to face Leeds United, where Longstaff now plays, in an upcoming match.

Sky has reduced the cost of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £336 and access to over 1,400 live matches, including at least 215 live Premier League games.
