“PDC Clarifies Audience Engagement at Saudi Darts Masters”

The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) has addressed the composition of the audience at the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters following Nathan Aspinall’s comments suggesting otherwise.

The tournament kicked off with notable players like Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, and Luke Humphries competing alongside Aspinall in the Middle East.

After securing a win in his initial match against Lourence Ilagan, Aspinall shared his observations on the event’s ambiance, noting a unique experience and hinting that not all attendees may have been fully engaged.

In response to Aspinall’s remarks, the PDC clarified that all spectators present were enthusiastic viewers, emphasizing the novelty of the darts event in the region and the diverse crowd compared to established darts gatherings in the UK and Europe.

World champion Luke Littler also commented on the quieter atmosphere compared to his usual environment after defeating Paul Lim. Despite the difference, Littler acknowledged the win and expressed readiness for future matches in the tournament.

The PDC highlighted the strong interest shown by attendees in their debut event in Saudi Arabia, reaffirming the legitimacy of the audience as ticket holders or guests.

As discussions around the Saudi Arabia Masters continue, Sky has announced a discounted Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming season, offering over 1,400 live matches across various leagues, including at least 215 live Premier League games.
