Police have unveiled a photograph of an individual they wish to interview following an alleged sexual assault on a train traveling from the Peak District. The incident occurred during a journey from Matlock to Nottingham on September 30.
The British Transport Police reported that the victim boarded the train at Duffield railway station in Derbyshire at approximately 4:45 pm. As she moved through the carriage, a man within a group of three individuals sexually assaulted her and made an inappropriate remark before disembarking at Nottingham.
Authorities are encouraging individuals with any relevant information to come forward as the inquiry progresses. A spokesperson for the police stated, “Can you identify this individual? Investigators probing a sexual assault aboard a train from Matlock to Nottingham have issued this image for identification. On Tuesday, September 30, at around 4:45 pm, a woman boarded the train at Duffield railway station.
“As she passed through the carriage, she encountered a group of three people. One of the men in the group sexually assaulted the young woman and made an inappropriate comment. The man exited the train at Nottingham railway station.”
