Prince Andrew Faces Pressure to Testify in Epstein Probe

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor has been urged by Keir Starmer to testify before the US government regarding the Jeffrey Epstein investigation. The former prince has failed to meet a deadline set by Congress to cooperate in the probe into the deceased sex offender and the government’s handling of the case.

When asked about Andrew’s involvement, the Prime Minister refrained from commenting on his specific situation but emphasized the importance of individuals with pertinent information coming forward to assist in such cases. Starmer reiterated that anyone holding relevant details should be willing to share them for the benefit of the investigation.

Congressman Suhas Subramanyam, a Democrat on the oversight committee, criticized Andrew for evading their request to provide testimony. Despite receiving an official summons from the committee, Andrew has not responded. The committee’s letter highlighted financial records mentioning “massage for Andrew,” prompting questions about his association with Epstein and urging him to disclose what he knew about the convicted sex offender’s activities.

Subramanyam expressed concern that Andrew’s avoidance of cooperation may hinder meaningful investigations, emphasizing that evidence linking him to the case continues to surface. Andrew, who recently lost his prince and Duke of York titles, maintains his innocence.

In a surprising turn of events, Donald Trump signed a bill mandating the US Justice Department to release its Epstein investigation files, despite his initial opposition. The deadline for officials to release the extensive file collection is December 19, potentially unveiling details about Epstein’s case and his prison suicide in 2019.
