“Princess of Wales Hosts ‘Together At Christmas’ Concert at Westminster Abbey”

New information has been unveiled regarding the Princess of Wales’s annual Christmas carol concert, just days before the anticipated event. The upcoming concert, themed around ‘love, compassion, and connection,’ will take place at Westminster Abbey and marks the fifth edition of the ‘Together At Christmas’ service. Over 1,600 individuals from various parts of the UK who have volunteered their time to assist charities and organizations throughout the year will be in attendance.

The renowned Westminster Abbey choir will perform beloved carols, and the event will feature musical performances by artists such as Hannah Waddingham, Katie Melua, Dan Smith, and Griff. Additionally, the Cornish folk music group, Fisherman’s Friends, will entertain the audience. Young performers from Platinum Performing Arts will also deliver a special performance during the service.

Distinguished speakers including the Prince of Wales, Kate Winslet, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Babatunde Aléshé, and Joe Locke will deliver readings centered on the themes of love, compassion, and connection. The service, organized by the Princess and supported by The Royal Foundation, aims to bring people together to celebrate various forms of love. The event will be attended by members of the Royal Family and other notable figures who have promoted compassion and togetherness in their own ways.

A live illustrator will capture the ambiance inside the Abbey in real-time, and outside, plantsman Jamie Butterworth will create a festive environment with British woodland trees, fruits, and Christmas trees. The Abbey will also feature wreaths donated by The Royal Horticultural Society and florist Simon Lycett, made in collaboration with various individuals and organizations.

Guests will enjoy music by young performers from Future Talent upon arrival and will be treated to mince pies and hot chocolate after the service. The event will be broadcast as part of Royal Carols: Together At Christmas on ITV1 and ITVX, showcasing stories of love, joy, and compassion. Candles from the Abbey will be recycled post-event, and community carol services will be held around the UK to celebrate community work during the festive season.
