“Revolution Bars Owner Sets Deadline for Buyer Bids”

The company that owns Revolution bars has announced a deadline for bids next week as it seeks a buyer. The Revel Collective, which operates 62 venues under various brands, including Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba, and Peach Pubs, initiated the sale process in October 2025 due to declining sales.

Potential bidders are required to submit offers by January 9, with FTI Consulting assisting in the formal sale procedure, according to reports from Sky News. Neos Hospitality has shown interest in acquiring some of The Revel Collective’s locations, but their bid status remains uncertain.

The Revel Collective, formerly known as Revolution Bars, was contacted by The Mirror for a statement. The company had previously launched a sales process in April 2024 but abandoned it after rejecting an offer from Nightcap. In 2024, the business closed approximately 36 sites as part of a court-approved restructuring plan.

Economic challenges and government interventions have impeded the company’s recovery efforts post-restructuring. Revenue dropped by 7.4% to £26.3 million in the three months leading to September, primarily driven by a 10.5% decline in like-for-like bar sales.

Cost-of-living pressures on younger customers, alongside increased debts reaching £25.3 million, have further strained the company. Luke Johnson, the former Pizza Express executive, assumed the role of chairman for The Revel Collective in September, aiming to explore new opportunities and acquisitions to enhance the business’s market position.
