“Samsung Advises Users to Review Settings Amid Account Cleanup”

Samsung is advising users to review their settings and ensure they are logged into specific services. The Korean tech giant is conducting a cleanup by removing Samsung accounts that have been inactive. This action mirrors Google’s move to eliminate unused accounts starting in 2023.

In a communication to Galaxy users, Samsung mentioned that it is making significant changes and may delete accounts of those not utilizing certain services.

The message from Samsung to its users stated, “Thank you for using Samsung account.” The company is implementing a policy for inactive Samsung accounts to safeguard user data. Accounts that have not been accessed or used for twenty-four months will be marked as inactive and may be deleted, leading to restricted access and data deletion, which cannot be reversed.

If users receive this message and have not accessed their account recently, it is crucial to act promptly to prevent permanent account closure and data loss. Simply logging in can ensure the safety of user data.

Samsung emphasized that to prevent account deletion and guarantee proper use of Samsung Services, accounts must show activity at least once every twenty-four months.
