Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy lineup at the Unpacked event in New York, showcasing new bendable phones that are impressively thin and durable. The flagship model, Galaxy Z Fold 7, boasts an 8-inch screen when unfolded, making it a pocket-sized tablet.
This year’s model has been slimmed down and lightened, measuring only 8.9mm when folded, making it Samsung’s thinnest and lightest foldable device to date. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, ensuring enhanced speed for various tasks like app launching, multitasking, gaming, and productivity.
Despite its slim profile, Samsung assures durability with features like Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass, and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame, promising long-lasting usage. The device includes a larger 6.5-inch cover screen and an upgraded triple-lens camera with a 200MP main lens and smart features like auto image editing and noise reduction in videos.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be available this month at a price of £1,799. Alongside the Fold 7, Samsung is introducing the Z Flip 7, featuring a more expansive front display for easier interaction without flipping open the main 6.9-inch panel. The Z Flip 7 also boasts a larger battery, improved design, and enhanced performance with Samsung’s Exynos chip, priced at £1,049.
For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE at £849, offering a more affordable bendable phone experience. Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung UK & Ireland, highlights the innovation in smartphone technology, combining powerful hardware with Galaxy AI to support users in new and efficient ways.
