Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is set to capture attention. The television service provider is rolling out a compelling subscription package that combines several of the most popular streaming services globally at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at just £24 per month, both new and existing subscribers will soon enjoy access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the feature-rich HBO Max app, slated for debut next month.
According to Sky, this bundle offers great value for money, bundling approximately £20 worth of streaming applications for a lower cost. Given that Sky’s base plan currently costs £15 per month, the additional content effectively becomes available for just an extra £9.
Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will gain access to over 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and more.
As an added bonus, Sky Cinema users will have a dedicated Disney movie channel incorporated directly into their planner. This channel will enable them to watch Disney blockbusters without needing to access the Disney+ app separately.
Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can seamlessly transfer their present plan—be it Standard or Premium—while retaining their profiles and viewing history.
Sky has assured users that all supported applications will be easily accessible from the homepage, offering fully integrated content. This integration allows users to locate shows and movies through voice search and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.
The new Sky Ultimate plan will be accessible across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, highlighted that this update signifies a new era for Sky and NOW, uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. She emphasized that customers will enjoy an integrated viewing experience and exceptional value, with HBO Max included at no additional charge for NOW Entertainment customers.
Sky emphasized that this move continues its commitment to innovation, simplifying the process for viewers to access premium entertainment in one place.
The update includes the following components:
– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads (effective from March, exact date pending)
– HBO Max Basic with Ads (available upon its UK & Ireland launch on 26th March)
– Hayu (starting from July, with select top shows accessible from March)
– PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky
