A group of men allegedly assaulted a teenage girl in the restroom of a KFC restaurant in Paris. The incident occurred around 10.30 pm in the Les Halles district. Following the assault, the victim was discovered by a passerby who then informed the authorities.
Upon receiving the report, the Paris prosecutor’s office dispatched police officers to the scene. The officers quickly located and apprehended four suspects based on the victim’s identification.
The men, aged between 18 and 24, were taken into custody on suspicion of raping a minor under 15. They are currently under investigation by the Juvenile Protection Unit, as reported by French media outlet Entreveu.
According to the victim’s account to the police, she had been with friends near a McDonald’s in Chatelet before she was separated and persuaded to accompany the men to the KFC at Les Halles, where the assault took place.
Following the attack, the teenager was promptly taken to the hospital for medical and psychological assistance. The Forum des Halles shopping center, where the incident occurred, has seen a recent surge in criminal activities, according to Le Parisien.
In response to the heightened security concerns, a significant security operation has been implemented at the shopping center, with an increased presence of security personnel across various levels of the building.
