A 14-year-old teenager, known as L’Vaion Peniston, has been identified as the perpetrator who fatally stabbed 16-year-old Kennie Carter in Stretford during a retaliatory conflict. The incident, driven by vengeance following a prior altercation, led to Peniston’s conviction for murder at Manchester Crown Court when he was 16. He received a youth sentence equivalent to life imprisonment with a minimum term of 17 years.
Initially, Peniston’s identity was protected due to legal restrictions related to his age. However, after turning 18, the reporting restrictions were lifted, allowing his name to be disclosed.
