A young woman has tragically lost her life in Western Australia due to a dog attack. The incident occurred in Fitzroy Crossing, a town located approximately 2,400 kilometers north of Perth, and was reported to the police around noon on Sunday, November 30.
Upon arriving at the scene, law enforcement discovered the woman deceased. Additionally, a man in his twenties sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly taken to Fitzroy hospital for treatment. Authorities have confirmed that two dogs were responsible for the attack.
Western Australian police have initiated investigations into the matter. A spokesperson from the Western Australian Police Force stated, “On Sunday, November 30, 2025, around noon, the police responded to reports of a dog attack in Fitzroy Crossing.”
The spokesperson added, “Regrettably, upon arrival, officers found a woman in her twenties deceased. Another man in his twenties was transported to Fitzroy hospital for treatment of his injuries, which were not life-threatening.”
Officials from the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley assisted in removing the two dogs from the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and a detailed report will be compiled for the coroner’s review.
This incident follows a recent dog attack in Sydney where a 54-year-old man was left in critical condition after being attacked by multiple dogs in the western part of the city on November 6.
