Donald Trump has aligned himself with Vladimir Putin regarding the Ukraine conflict, as noted by an expert, after his representatives were warmly received in Moscow. Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the US President’s son-in-law, visited Moscow for crucial discussions with Russian delegates about new proposals to resolve the three-year invasion of Ukraine. Despite a delay, the two were treated well, indicating potential alignment between the US and Russian delegations following Putin’s strategic approach.
Body language expert Judi James observed that Putin chose not to create a physical barrier during negotiations by using a large table, signaling a more intimate and cooperative atmosphere. The seating arrangement suggested a sense of confrontation but not a power struggle. Non-verbal cues indicated a friendly interaction between the two, with Putin appearing relaxed and engaged during the meeting.
However, James cautioned that Putin’s body language can be misleading, as seen in previous interactions with foreign leaders. While the meeting appeared positive, officials remained discreet about the discussions’ details. Kirill Dmitriev, Putin’s foreign policy advisor, described the talks as “productive.” Peace negotiations continued for hours, concluding late into the night.
