“Two Lucky Britons Win £1 Million Each in Premium Bonds Draw”

The latest Premium Bond results for January 2026 have been revealed today, with two individuals winning a sum of £1 million each to kick off the New Year.

One fortunate winner, residing in Suffolk, holds the maximum £50,000 in Premium Bonds. Their winning bond number, 570QM451332, was obtained in February 2024. The second £1 million winner hails from Berkshire and also holds £50,000 in Premium Bonds, with the winning bond number 377PG290829 purchased in December 2019.

Premium Bonds, a savings product offered by National Savings & Investment (NS&I), operate by entering participants into a monthly prize draw rather than providing a fixed interest rate on investments.

The smallest monthly prize available is £25, while the largest prize stands at £1 million. However, winning a prize every month is not guaranteed, as the majority of prizes given out are smaller amounts compared to the larger sums.

With thousands of £25 prizes typically distributed alongside just two £1 million prizes each month, the maximum savings limit for Premium Bonds is £50,000. Every £1 invested corresponds to a unique bond number, with odds of winning a prize at 22,000 to 1 for each £1 bond.

Winners are notified of their prizes through email or text messages from NS&I, offering the option to have the money deposited into their bank account or reinvested into Premium Bonds. To check for potential winnings, participants can utilize the NS&I online prize checker tool or the Premium Bonds prize checker app.

Currently, the prize fund rate for Premium Bonds stands at 3.60%, consistent since the August 2025 draw. Despite a slight decrease in the prize fund rate leading to fewer large prizes being awarded, two £1 million prizes continue to be given out each month among over 24 million Premium Bond holders.

Recent data revealed the luckiest regions for winning Premium Bond prizes, with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight seeing 42 individuals winning £100,000 prizes in 2025. Essex followed with 37 winners of £100,000 prizes, and Outer London with 32 winners of the same amount. Additionally, Norwich and Cumbria each had a £1 million jackpot winner in 2025.
