“UK’s NOW Broadband Announces Price Hike in July”

Most of the major TV and internet providers in the UK have recently increased their prices in 2025, primarily in April. Sky has now announced another price hike for users of its NOW broadband platform.

The price adjustments were confirmed in May, and they are scheduled to take effect tomorrow, on July 4. Users subscribed to the Brilliant Broadband, Fab Fibre, and Super Fibre plans will be impacted, facing an additional £3 per month charge.

NOW acknowledges that the price increase may not be well-received by all customers. A spokesperson for NOW mentioned, “We understand that price hikes are never popular. However, to enhance our services and make investments, pricing adjustments are necessary.”

Customers were initially offered the option to cancel their service without any charges if they acted within 31 days of being notified about the increase.

To avoid the extra charges, customers are advised to check their emails to determine if they are still within the cancellation window. Those eligible can switch to another service provider without incurring early termination fees.

NOW emphasizes that the price changes reflect the company’s ongoing investments to enhance its offerings. The company cites various cost pressures, including wholesale expenses and service improvements, as reasons for the adjustments.

Regardless of whether you are a NOW customer, it is recommended to review your contract and explore alternative service providers. Smaller networks across the UK, such as Community Fibre, often provide competitive offers with faster speeds at lower prices.
