“Woman critically injured in suspected Dublin arson”

A woman sustained critical injuries in what is suspected to be an arson attack in Clondalkin, Dublin. The victim was allegedly soaked in petrol and set on fire by an assailant near a property this morning around 10:10 am. Authorities are investigating the incident, with a possibility that a petrol bomb was involved.

The injured woman has been hospitalized for severe burn injuries, while a man is also receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. Gardaí have secured the scene for forensic analysis, and a Senior Investigating Officer is leading the inquiry from Clondalkin Garda Station.

A statement from the police urged any witnesses to come forward. Individuals who were in the Oak Downs area of Clondalkin between 9:30 am and 10:20 am and have any relevant video footage, including dash-cam recordings, are requested to provide the material to the investigating authorities.
