A woman bravely leaped from a first-floor window to escape her violent husband, who had intentionally set their home ablaze in a shocking attempt on her life. Emma Martin, aged 52, was rudely awakened by noises at her door, only to be met with flames engulfing her residence. Trapped with no clear exit, she made a split-second decision to jump out of the window to save herself.
Unaware at the time, Emma’s estranged husband, Nicholas Martin, had maliciously poured petrol in the house and ignited the fire.
