Woman’s Dismembered Body Found; Head Still Missing

The dismembered remains of a woman were found following the abandonment of her newborn at a monastery. This discovery follows the recent appearance of severed hands, believed to belong to the same individual, near a highway. Authorities are still searching for the woman’s head.

The body was located in a wooded area outside Monreal, Germany, while the hands were found on the A45 highway in North Rhine-Westphalia on November 18. The hands were identified as those of a 32-year-old Eritrean woman through her fingerprints. Her body was discovered 70 miles away from where her hands were found.

Following the initial discovery of the hands, police searched for the Eritrean woman at a refugee shelter in Bonn but found no evidence of foul play in her room. The woman’s three-month-old baby was found abandoned at a monastery in Hesse, 120 miles from Bonn, unharmed and labeled with its name and birth date, linking it to the deceased woman.

The woman’s 41-year-old partner has been arrested in connection to her death in a non-European country and is considered a witness, not a suspect. He voluntarily submitted to official custody. The investigation into the homicide is ongoing.
