Young British Cyclist Killed in Tenerife Hit-and-Run

Police are investigating the death of a young British individual who was fatally struck in an apparent intentional hit-and-run while cycling in Tenerife. The victim, known only by the name Harry and a supporter of Liverpool, was declared dead at the scene following the incident on Monday evening.

The incident occurred on the TF-652 road between Las Chafiras and the fishing village of Las Galletas in the municipality of Arona. Local reports have characterized it as a hit-and-run, with authorities looking into the possibility of the individual being “murdered” rather than accidentally run over.

Initial inquiries were conducted by local police from Arona Town Hall, but the case has now been transferred to Civil Guard investigators. No arrests have been made thus far. A memorial with flowers, candles, and a photo of the deceased individual has been set up near the location of the incident.

Details such as the age and full name of the victim have not been disclosed publicly. An emotional message left at the shrine reads, “I love you forever wee bro.” Emergency services were alerted to the incident just before 8:15 pm on December 1, with the victim succumbing to their injuries upon arrival at the scene.

While an article in a local newspaper initially mentioned the victim as a 25-year-old, official confirmation of the age and nationality is pending.
