The Met Office has issued three new weather warnings. One warning is for wind, with gusts possibly exceeding 70mph, in parts of Wales and the south-west from 10pm tomorrow to 4pm on Tuesday. Another wind warning, also with potential 70mph gusts, covers the north-west of Scotland from 3pm on Tuesday to 10am on Wednesday. A rain warning for northern England, from Tuesday morning to 3pm, anticipates up to 80mm of rainfall. Additionally, a rain warning for Wales and the south-west of England, from 6pm tomorrow to 6pm on Tuesday, warns of up to 100mm of rain.
The Met Office cautions that power cuts are likely in the warned regions, with a risk of flooding due to the rain warning. Travel delays are expected, and the Met Office advises people to be prepared. They suggest checking road conditions, public transport schedules, and making necessary adjustments to travel plans. Additionally, they recommend preparing for power cuts by having torches, batteries, a mobile phone power pack, and other essentials ready in advance.
