A mother mourns the tragic loss of her young daughter, who was fatally stabbed by her ex-partner in a brutal attack. Mohammed Al Shaker Al Tamimi confessed to killing eight-year-old Malika by slashing her throat and stabbing her heart at their residence in New Ross, County Wexford, Ireland. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Malika succumbed to her injuries due to the severity of the wounds inflicted by Al Tamimi.
The devastated mother, Aisha Noor Al Kattib, expressed sorrow upon discovering that her daughter could have survived the assault if the final fatal stab had not been delivered. Al Tamimi, who was seen smiling as he attacked the child, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder, with an additional ten years before his life sentence commences.
A pathologist’s report revealed multiple stab and incise wounds on Malika’s body, with the fatal blow to her heart being the cause of death rather than the initial throat cut. Al Kattib is now advocating for stricter laws in Ireland to ensure that individuals convicted of murdering a child serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
