European leaders gathered in Kyiv to celebrate Ukraine’s Independence Day amidst Russia’s ongoing invasion. Burnham announced the U.K.’s approval for releasing classified information by defense company MBDA to support local production of long-range missiles in Ukraine. President Zelenskyy stressed the importance of international support in the face of the Russian conflict.
The Kremlin criticized Britain’s involvement, accusing the UK of exacerbating the conflict. Moscow warned of consequences, citing actions to identify and destroy missile production sites. Both Russia and Ukraine engaged in long-range strikes to disrupt each other’s operations.
