A 20-year-old man from Cambridge, Ontario, has been arrested in connection with an investigation involving the transportation of cocaine from Canada to Hong Kong. Authorities have charged him with exporting a Schedule 1 substance and conspiracy to commit an indictable offense. The man made an appearance in a Kitchener courtroom for a bail hearing. The Waterloo Regional Police Service initiated the investigation in September 2025 after a 20-year-old woman from Cambridge was apprehended at Hong Kong International Airport with 25 kilograms of suspected cocaine in her luggage. Recently, local police, along with various law enforcement agencies, detained a man from Markham, Ontario, believed to be linked to the drug network that allegedly facilitated the woman’s journey from Toronto to Hong Kong. The investigation remains ongoing.
