Emergency services responded to an incident involving an easyJet flight full of holidaymakers at Manchester Airport. The aircraft, bound for Lanzarote from Terminal 1, faced a problem with the aircraft tug, which made contact with the front wheels of the plane. This triggered an emergency response from on-site rescue teams.
Passengers on flight EZY 2029 were asked to disembark for safety checks, although there was no formal evacuation. The operation did not affect other flights at the airport, but one boarding gate was temporarily closed.
Images shared on social media depicted emergency service vehicles on the tarmac, a standard procedure in such situations. An easyJet spokesperson confirmed the delay, stating that passengers were provided with refreshments while waiting for an alternative aircraft for their journey to Lanzarote.
Safety remains the top priority for the airline, and they apologized for any inconvenience caused by the incident.
